Yoga Ettiquette

1. Be Punctual to Class

Instructor's start and end class on time and lock the door for safety reasons before class starts. 

​2. Minimize Conversation

​​As you arrive and set-up in the yoga room it is good practice to be quiet and focus inward. The few minutes before class are ideal for a short meditation and setting an intention for what you want to get out of class that day. Being quiet is not just good etiquette but also really beneficial for your state of mind. If you need to say something simply be mindful of others by whispering. 

If you want to socialize we have a covered deck just outside the yoga room with tables, chairs, music and a fan which is a perfect environment for chatting with your yogi friends before or after class. The Juice Bar seating area is another good option. 

3. No Cell Phones in Yoga Room

Turn off or mute your electronics before you place them in a cubby or locker so they don't distract the class. Electronics are not allowed in the yoga room.

4. Take Your Shoes Off 

Leave your shoes outside the yoga room in a cubby. 

​5. Lite or No Perfume/Cologne

6. Mind Your Personal Hygiene

7. No Chewing Gum

8. Try Not To Leave Class Early

Arriving late and leaving early disrupts the class and should only be done when absolutely necessary.
